Case Overview
In 2021, BH Properties purchased 4405 Glasscock Avenue, an 86,640 SQF industrial property situated on 11.61 acres of land in Harlingen, TX.
Prior to BH acquiring the property, it was owned by Sears. They sold the property to local Valley Baptist Hospital, who utilized the property as a laundry site and supply storage. After the building suffered significant roof damage from Hurricane Dolly in 2008, the hospital discontinued all use of the building. While vacant, the building also suffered interior water damage, rusted metal and electrical service lost due to copper theft. Vandalism was also common.
Following BH’s acquisition and extensive repairs and renovations, the entire property was leased in 2023 to Ashley Furniture and is now used primarily for shipping and order fulfillment, as well as an office and showroom.
